❤😭 Connor McDavid Discovers Her High School Janitor Still Working at 80 – Her Next Move Stuns Everyone! ❤😭
Hockey superstar Connor McDavid recently reunited with someone from his past in an unexpected way—his high school janitor. What began as a simple visit to his alma mater to support a charity event soon turned into a heartwarming moment that would leave the entire community in awe.
McDavid, who has enjoyed tremendous success on the ice, hasn’t forgotten where he came from. Recently, he made a surprise visit to the local high school in Richmond Hill, Ontario, to support a youth charity event aimed at encouraging kids to pursue sports and academics. As he toured the familiar halls, memories flooded back, but there was one moment that stopped him in his tracks.
Walking past the janitor’s closet, McDavid couldn’t help but notice the familiar face of Mrs. Eleanor Harris, who had worked at the school for as long as he could remember. The 80-year-old janitor had been a constant presence throughout McDavid’s high school years, always there with a warm smile and a kind word for the students. But as McDavid approached, he was struck by the realization that Mrs. Harris was still working at the school.
“I couldn’t believe it,” McDavid said, his voice filled with emotion. “I remember seeing her every day after school, making sure the place was clean and always greeting us. To see her still working at 80—it really made me stop and think.”
After recognizing Mrs. Harris, McDavid took a few moments to speak with her. The two chatted about the old days, with McDavid reminiscing about how she’d keep the hallways sparkling and provide a sense of warmth in the school. Mrs. Harris spoke fondly of her memories watching McDavid grow, noting how she always knew he was destined for greatness.
“It’s been a long time, but it’s nice to see how far he’s come,” Mrs. Harris said, her eyes twinkling with pride. “I’ve always believed in him, even when he was just a young kid running around the halls.”
However, what followed next shocked everyone who overheard the conversation. McDavid, recognizing the dedication Mrs. Harris had shown to the school and the students over the years, decided to take immediate action.
The Unexpected Gesture
After their conversation, McDavid turned to the principal and quietly asked, “Is she still on the school’s payroll?” When he learned that Mrs. Harris was still working part-time at 80, McDavid was visibly moved. He knew he had to do something to show his appreciation for all her years of service.
Without hesitation, McDavid made a bold decision. He pledged to set up a fund to ensure Mrs. Harris could retire comfortably, honoring her dedication to the school and its students. The fund, which will provide Mrs. Harris with a generous retirement package and health benefits, was made possible by McDavid’s own personal contributions along with support from his sponsors and fans.
But that wasn’t all. McDavid also announced that he was funding a scholarship in Mrs. Harris’s name, aimed at helping underprivileged students pursue their dreams of higher education, just as he had done years ago.
“It’s the least I can do for someone who’s been there for so many of us,” McDavid said, visibly emotional. “She’s given so much of herself to the school, and I want to make sure she can enjoy her retirement without having to worry about finances.”
The news of McDavid’s gesture quickly spread throughout the school community, sparking an outpouring of support from students, teachers, and alumni alike. Many former classmates of McDavid took to social media, praising the hockey star for his thoughtfulness and generosity.
“I can’t believe Connor McDavid did this,” said Emily Roberts, a former classmate of McDavid’s. “He’s always been a class act, but this just shows the kind of person he really is. Mrs. Harris has always been there for us, and now it’s great to see someone giving back to her in such a meaningful way.”
The principal of the school, Maria Thompson, also expressed her gratitude. “Connor has always been a role model to our students, but what he did for Mrs. Harris is something truly remarkable. He’s shown what it means to give back and to care for those who have supported you along the way.”
The Lasting Legacy
As for Mrs. Harris, she was overwhelmed by McDavid’s kindness. “I never expected anything like this,” she said, wiping away tears. “It’s been a privilege to work at the school, and to see that Connor hasn’t forgotten me after all these years—it’s just incredible.”
McDavid’s actions not only helped change Mrs. Harris’s life but also reminded everyone of the power of kindness and gratitude. In a world often focused on fame and fortune, McDavid showed that true greatness lies in how you treat others.
The scholarship in Mrs. Harris’s name is already making waves, with several students already expressing interest in applying. McDavid’s impact will continue to be felt for generations to come, not just as a hockey legend, but as a beacon of generosity and compassion.
In the end, McDavid’s decision to honor a beloved figure from his past has left a lasting legacy—one that will inspire countless others to pay it forward, just as he has.

Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid remains sidelined with an injury that he sustained on March 20. But, it appears the Stanley Cup finalists will have their main man back in the lineup very soon.
Speaking to reporters Monday, head coach Kris Knoblauch said McDavid has a legitimate chance of returning before the regular season concludes, despite staying back in Edmonton for the Oilers’ upcoming four-game road trip.

“He might join us later on the trip, but not now,” Knoblauch said. “We know a ballpark point where it’s going to be and it’s not going to be the next game or two. We feel it should be before the regular season ends, so we’re looking at one, two (weeks), at the most three, because that’s what we have left in our season, but he’ll be [back] before the regular season is over.”
While the Oilers want him healthy, they also know there’s still a lot to play for in the postseason race:
“I think the most important thing is that he is healthy and 100 percent for the playoffs,” Knoblauch said. “To say the regular season is not that important and we’re not playing for anything and putting in time is a little far-fetched. We’re not in that position. When he is healthy, we want him joining and want him playing, but we’re not going to push something that might get worse.”
Leon Draisaitl was also recently out of the lineup with an injury but he just returned. The Oilers have compiled a 2-2-0 record without McDavid.
The three-time Hart Trophy winner has taken a step back as a goal scorer, but he’s still putting up numbers. McDavid has 26 goals and 64 helpers, sitting second on the Oilers in points behind Draisaitl, the frontrunner to win the Hart.
While McDavid being on the shelf is far from ideal for the Oilers, it does give the supporting cast a chance to find a rhythm ahead of the playoffs. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins thrived when McDavid and Draisaitl were both injured, tallying nine points in five games, including a hat-trick.
Edmonton is third in the Pacific Division and continues to chase the second-place Los Angeles Kings, who sit two points above them.
