🚨 Christie Sides Revealed She Is Fed Up With Aliyah Boston Lack Of Defense And Aggression ‼️

Indiana Fever Coach Reveals Why She Benched Aliyah Boston

The Indiana Fever are desperate for a win.

Caitlin Clark team’s fell to 0-5 on the 2024 WNBA season after suffering a narrow loss to the Seattle Storm on Wednesday night.

Aside from occasional flashes of genius by Clark, the Fever typically look like an inexperienced team that makes mistakes in crucial moments that ultimately costs them games.

There’s also the fact that Aliyah Boston hasn’t been playing well; which is proven by her being benched in crucial moments, in favor of Temi Fagbenle.

Indiana Fever head coach Christie Sides addressed reporters after Wednesday’s loss. And she had a telling response when asked why she played Fagbenle instead of Boston late in the game.

“Temi was just effective on both ends,” Sides said. “Defensively, she’s able to man, and then her length enables her to get to help side. She’s a rim protector.

“Temi plays with a fire and a passion that I love,” Sides continued. “When she gets scored on, it pisses her off… And we have to get to where we have five [players] out there that feel that same sense of urgency.”

Boston must show more urgency if she wants to reclaim last season’s success.
