The Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Jakub Dobeš to a three-year contract extension through the 2029-30 season, the club announced Thursday.
The deal carries an average annual value of $5.36 US million.
The 25-year-old Czech went 29-10-4 with a 2.78 goals-against average and .901 save percentage in 43 games during his rookie NHL season in 2025-26.
Dobeš was named to the NHL’s All-Rookie Team after leading all rookie goaltenders in wins and helping Montreal reach the Eastern Conference final.
He added a 2.66 GAA and .908 save percentage in 19 playoff games, recording nine wins.
Montreal selected Dobeš in the fifth round, 136th overall, of the 2020 NHL Draft.
