Toronto Maple Leafs Reportedly Make an Offer on Erik Karlsson
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson is reportedly being shopped around by Kyle Dubas, and the Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the interested parties.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are currently in the midst of a transitional period, and it seems like Kyle Dubas wants to trade a whole bunch of players.
One of those men is none other than defenseman Erik Karlsson, who is 35 years old and has two years left on his contract. In the eyes of many, he can still produce at a high level, but is being wasted in Pittsburgh.
Having said that, it should come as no surprise that Dubas wants to re-home him to a loving team that will keep him around for a long time.

Is Erik Karlsson going to the Toronto Maple Leafs?
For weeks now, there have been rumors that the Toronto Maple Leafs are interested in making something happen. Of course, they don’t have a lot of cap space, but if they move out Morgan Rielly, then it is certainly possible.
According to a report from Marco D’Amico, the Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings, Utah
Mammoth, and even the Toronto Maple Leafs have all called about Karlsson.
This is the first report in which it has become clear that the Leafs are thinking of an offer.
What that offer is, we still don’t know yet.
One can make the assumption that involves guys like David Kampf and Calle Jarnkrok. These are two players that Brad Treliving has been desperate to get rid of.
Unfortunately, none of the teams out there seem to be interested in these guys. Instead, they are being put out to pasture.
The next few weeks are going to be interesting for the Maple Leafs, especially in the aftermath of the Dakota Joshua trade. If one thing is certain, it is that Brad Treliving is making big moves.
Replacing Mitch Marner is not an easy task, but the Leafs are doing everything they can to make sure they remain just as good as they were last season.
