Aliyah Boston Posts Two-Word Reaction to South Carolina Star’s Big Night

Before entering the WNBA as the No. 1 overall pick in 2023, Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston dominated the college ranks.

She led South Carolina to the NCAA title in 2022 and was named Most Outstanding Player. It won’t be a surprise if the Gamecocks retire her jersey a few years from now.

Following in Boston’s footsteps is Chloe Kitts. She has powered South Carolina to a 26-3 record, including 14-1 in the SEC. Their latest victory came on Thursday after beating Ole Miss, 75-59.

Kitts finished with a triple-double of 16 points, 13 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists, showcasing her all-around acumen. She also had a career-best four steals. She became the first South Carolina player to tally a triple-double since Boston in 2021.

The Fever forward posted Kitts’ feat on her Instagram story and issued a two-word reaction.

“True swag,” wrote Boston.

In South Carolina’s win over Georgia in January 2021, Boston tallied 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocks. It was her second triple-double after registering her first during her freshman year, the first by a rookie in Gamecocks history.

She ended her four-year stint as a three-time SEC champion, two-time SEC Tournament MVP, two-time SEC Player of the Year and four-time SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

Meanwhile, South Carolina coach Dawn Staley had high praise for the 20-year-old Kitts after her big night.

“It was the hard way,” said Staley in a report from Greenville News’ Lulu Kesin. “It was really the hard way. It was playmaking, it was determination, it was will. It was Chloe Kitts.”

No. 6 South Carolina will return to action on Sunday against No. 15 Kentucky.
