A recent viral video appearing to show basketball star Caitlin Clark chugging beer and flashing the crowd has been confirmed as AI-generated—and the creator, surprisingly, is an outspoken fan of Angel Reese. The revelation has sparked debate about digital ethics, sports rivalries, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence on public figures.
Earlier this week, social media was abuzz with a clip allegedly depicting Caitlin Clark, the University of Iowa’s basketball sensation, engaging in rowdy post-game antics. The video quickly spread across platforms, drawing both criticism and disbelief from fans and commentators. Many questioned its authenticity due to the out-of-character behavior and subtle visual inconsistencies.
Digital forensics experts soon determined the video was the product of advanced AI manipulation, commonly known as a deepfake. The technology had convincingly superimposed Clark’s likeness onto another person’s body, creating a realistic but entirely fabricated scene.
In a surprising twist, the individual behind the video came forward in an online forum, identifying themselves as a dedicated supporter of Angel Reese, Clark’s well-known rival from LSU. The fan claimed the video was intended as a “prank” and a playful jab in the ongoing rivalry between the two athletes.
However, the creator’s actions have drawn widespread criticism. Many argue that such deepfakes can damage reputations, spread misinformation, and escalate tensions between fan bases.
Social Media Is Losing Their Minds Over AI-Generated Video Of Caitlin Clark Chugging Beer & Flashing The Crowd
Caitlin Clark has become the latest victim of artificial intelligence.
The Indiana Fever guard was in the house for Tuesday night’s Indiana Pacers’ playoff game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Clark was joined by several of her Fever teammates, including the newly re-signed Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, as they helped hype up the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 2 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
She even went viral on the court on the court during a break in action in the second quarter, throwing t-shirts to excited fans.

Online, however, she was going viral for an entirely different reason.
One piece of AI-generated footage had Caitlin Clark waving to excited Pacers fans as she stood up for the crowd. However, the video would soon show her raising up her shirt to expose her boobs while chugging a beer
How social media responded:
“The Gray area is this technically isn’t her, I’ll be worried once AI is actually believable. It goes from CC to some random white girl,” one person said.
“Wow, I had no idea Caitlin could chug like that. Now I’m interested,” a second fan added.
“It’s funny, you can see how when the shirt goes over “her” head, the AI feminizes her face to match a female body since it couldn’t reconcile both at the same time,” a third fan said of the fake Caitlin Clark video.
“So many kids look up to her, and this is just a damn shame. Angel Reese would never do this, and kids should look up to her, not CC. Do better,” a confused fan added.
“AI is really going to start confusing a lot of people 😂,” a final person commented.

The WNBA season is now less than a month away, with preseason tipping off in under two weeks.
Caitlin Clark is entering her second WNBA season with the Indiana Fever.
The most talked about player will be featured on national television for 41 of her 44 regular season games.
Her playing in certain cities has made teams have to move venues. The Washington Mystics announced that two games against the Fever on May 28 and Sept. 7 will be moved to CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore.
This is the second straight season that the Mystics have moved games with superstar Caitlin Clark and the Fever because of increased interest.
