Their relationship will be challenged in grueling WNBA training camp.

Ever since the Chicago Sky shocked the basketball world by selecting their new “twin towers” of Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese in the first round of the WNBA Draft, fans have been eager to see how the college rivals would look together on the court. After day one of WNBA training camp, a video from the Sky showed them putting their chemistry to the test.
First look at Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso playing together
In the video, Cardoso is shown rolling to the rim and finishing layups, while Reese is in more of a perimeter role, handling the ball and distributing. She hit her Brazilian teammate for a layup in one sequence that will make Chicago fans hungry for more of the dynamic combination.
The pair of first-round picks have been competing against each other since high school.
They continued the rivalry at the NCAA level, where Reese’s LSU and Cardoso’s South Carolina both won national championships.
Working together is an adjustment from banging against one another in the paint, but early signs are promising.
Just as important, the Chi Barbie’s energy jumped out in the video, showing the intangible qualities that made her an easy choice for the Sky with the No. 7 pick in the draft. She cheered loudly from the sidelines, encouraging her teammates and showing leadership despite just being a rookie.
When is Chicago Sky’s first game?
WNBA training camps kicked off on Sunday, April 28. Reese and Cardoso have less than one week to settle in with the team and with each other before Chicago’s first preseason game on May 4 against the Minnesota Lynx.
