Angel Reese has been scoring big outside the basketball court, and this time it’s not about signing a multi-million deal with a big brand, but the success of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast on YouTube. The podcast that the Chicago Sky star started in September has been ranked by Boardroom among the top athlete-led podcasts going into the year

2025. With yet another success story on her resume before 2025, Reese was floating on air. She proudly reposted the Boardroom post on her Instagram story on Sunday.

“thank ya,” Reese wrote in the caption.

The only other podcast by any WNBA player other than Reese was “A Touch More with Sue Bird & Megan Rapinoe Podcast.” The podcast was ranked second, only behind Carmelo Anthony’s “7PM In Brooklyn.”

Since starting the podcast in September, she has had some of the biggest names from the sports and entertainment industry on her show like Dwyane Wade, Shaquille O’Neal and GloRilla. The podcast has already garnered 113,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Charleston White makes controversial remark regarding Angel Reese’s influence in WNBA

The WNBA has seen an unprecedented rise since Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark arrived in the league this summer. The ticket sales and viewership have spiked, it signed the biggest TV deal in league history, and the upcoming season looks more promising than any before.

However, one of the recent comments made by Charleston White on Jeff Teague’s podcast “Club 520” regarding Reese’s impact on the league has raised eyebrows. While discussing Reese and Caitlin Clark’s influence in lifting the WNBA, White made some shocking comments regarding the Chicago Sky star.

White echoed Shaquille O’Neal’s comment that Reese dunking in her shorts would sell tickets. He also shockingly added that Reese should start her OnlyFa*s account and dunk with no bra on.

“I still think she needs to do OnlyF*ns like Shaq said,” White said, drawing up laughter from others on the podcast. “She dunking up p**ties. … Dunk in some panties with no bra on. That’s how you sell tickets. I ain’t feel like watching no h**s play no basketball. … Man, we need a OnlyF**s WNBA, then I’ll tune in.”

Already infamous for his controversial takes, White also added that rather than playing basketball Reese was trying to sell being too sexual.

“I think Angel Reese wanna sell her p**sy,” White also said. “Yeah, I think Angel Reese don’t wanna play no basketball, I think she wanna sell her p**sy. She coming out too sexual.”

The commnt by White has received backlash from fans and the WNBA community alike. Las Vegas Aces star Sydney Colson, sports analyst Natalie Esquire, LA Sparks guard Lexie Brown and others heavily criticized the nature of the conversation on the podcast.
