Angel Reese & The Chicago Sky Release Statement & EXCLUSIVE COURTSIDE FOOTAGE Against Caitlin Clark.
Caitlin Clark reveals if there were racist comments towards Angel Reese and sends strong message
Incident took place after Clark appeared to foul Reese

Caitlin Clark began the 2025 WNBA season in spectacular fashion, delivering a triple-double as the Indiana Fever cruised to a 93-58 victory over the Chicago Sky.
With 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, the reigning Rookie of the Year reminded the league why she’s one of the most talked-about players in professional basketball.

Clark‘s high-profile showdown with Chicago’s Angel Reese-a fellow rising star who posted a double-double of her own-was billed as must-see TV. But the night’s basketball brilliance was quickly clouded by a disturbing development off the court.
Reports emerged that some Fever fans had directed hateful, racially charged comments toward Reese during the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, shifting attention away from the athletic performances and toward a growing concern about fan behavior in the league.
WNBA launches investigation into alleged racial abuse
In response to the incident, the WNBA issued a strong statement on Sunday condemning any form of discrimination or abuse.
“The WNBA strongly condemns racism, hate, and discrimination in all forms – they have no place in our league or in society. We are aware of the allegations and are looking into the matter.”
The allegations prompted questions at Monday’s post-practice press conference, where Clark addressed the situation. She stated that she did not hear the remarks firsthand but acknowledged the seriousness of the claims.
“Although I didn’t hear anything … that doesn’t mean nothing happened,” Clark told reporters.
“You trust the league’s investigation, and I’m sure they’ll do the right thing.”
Fever head coach Stephanie White echoed that sentiment, assuring the media that the organization would fully cooperate with the league’s review. She also took the opportunity to remind fans of the expectations that come with attending WNBA games.
“Be a fan. Don’t be a jerk,” White said bluntly.
“Be respectful, be passionate… but there’s no place for that in our league.”
This incident comes at a time when the WNBA is experiencing unprecedented growth in popularity, thanks in part to the influx of college stars like Clark and Reese. Their rivalry has drawn national attention, but moments like these underscore the importance of maintaining a respectful environment where all athletes are supported-regardless of race, background, or team affiliation.

The league’s swift response suggests that it is taking the matter seriously, and many fans and analysts are now watching to see what actions, if any, will follow.
In the meantime, the Indiana Fever are turning their attention back to the court. The team is set to host the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday evening, with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. As the investigation unfolds, the Fever hope to keep their early momentum alive-and ensure the spotlight returns to the game itself.
