Angel Reese’s former Chicago Sky teammate, Chennedy Carter, is believed to have been blackballed from the WNBA following her episode with Caitlin Clark.
Carter was not among the most popular players in the league until she violently threw a shoulder into Clark last season, dropping the rookie to the floor and getting cheered on by Reese.
A former No. 4 overall pick, Carter is probably not going to play WNBA basketball this year, despite averaging 17.5 points per game for the Sky in 2024 off an impressive 45 percent shooting.
Carter was also named Player of the Year in China this year after a season in which she averaged 32 points a game and led the league in steals.

The above should be more than enough to lock in a new contract. However, Chennedy Carter has not been offered a WNBA contract and has instead signed with a team in Mexico.

The 26-year-old is reportedly set to play for Adelitas de Chihuahua in said country’s Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional.
The point guard is talented, and there’s little doubt over her ability to contribute significantly on both ends of the floor, but it seems like the WNBA wants nothing to do with her following a series of infringements. Aside from that incident with Clark, she was suspended for “conduct detrimental to the team” after an altercation with an Atlanta Dream teammate in 2021.
She showed little contrition after the vicious body check on Caitlin last year, clapping back at critics and telling ROY’s boyfriend to grow a pair after the incident.
