A few hours ago, the Boston Bruins shared a video of their former captain, Brad Marchand, as a heartfelt tribute with a caption that reads as, “Thank you, Brad, for 16 incredible years.”
Brad Marchand’s wife, Katrina Sloane, shared the video on her Instagram story and added a heartfelt caption that read as, “Thank you for always giving Brad and our family so much love. We’re eternally grateful for every moment we’ve had with you.”
She added, “We’ll hold them close to our hearts forever. Love always, The Marchands.” Brad Marchand’s long time teammate at the Boston Bruins, Charlie McAvoy’s wife Kiley McAvoy shared a heartfelt picture of her and Katrina Sloane wearing jerseys of their husbands. She added the picture with a heart break emoji showing how upsetting the decision for the teammates.
Charlie McAvoy’s wife Kiley McAvoy also shared another picture along with Brandon Carlo, his wife Mayson Carlo and Brad Marchand along with his wife Katrina Sloane, on what seems to be like a vacation that the couples had taken together. The caption on the picture reads as, “Family”.
Brad Marchand’s former team, the Boston Bruins’ CEO Charlie Jacobs’ has released a statement amidst all the criticism that the team has received in the last couple of hours.
The statement read as, “Brad Marchand, our captain, Stanley Cup championship and Bruin of 16 years, will forever be a part of that legacy.
While we made our best efforts to keep Brad in black and gold for the rest of his playing career, he now embarks on the next chapter of his journey. We wish him, his wife Katrina and their three children Sloane, Sawyer and Rue the utmost success.”
