$169 Billion Worth Giant Comes to Caitlin Clark’s Aid as Two Biggest Female Athletes’ Powers Join Forces
And the ‘Caitlin Clark Effect’ resumes, bringing good news for golf enthusiasts. While the Indiana Fever star made a lot of buzz for her participation in the Pro-Am, fans weren’t really happy that the event wasn’t being broadcast live. However, as Clark’s participation in the whole event gains more audiences, a $169 worth company has come to the rescue of Clark and another big golfing name Nelly Korda by taking onus for bringing it to the viewers at home.
According to the latest announcement, Korda and Clark’s participation in the Women’s Leadership Summit on Tuesday will be made available to fans from 10 am-2 pm on NBCSports.com and the LPGA’s official website. Additionally, the former NCAA Queen’s golfing ventures will be streamed as highlights on the Golf Channel’s “Golf Today” at 11 am on Wednesday. Moreover, her warmups and walk-in interviews at the Pelican Golf Club are expected to be live-streamed on the LPGA and tournament social handles on the same day.
Apart from live streaming options for Wednesday’s Pro-Am, tickets are also available at www.TheAnnika.com. In the Pro-Am Clark will not only be seen alongside Korda in the front 9 but also do the second 9 with Annika Sorenstam, the tournament host. Certainly, this is a huge update for all the golfing and Clark fans since the tournament was not going to be part of any broadcast initially.
Though Clark did participate in the 2023 John Deere Classic and got positive reviews from Iowans Zach Johnson and Ludvig Aberg, it remains to be seen whether Clark will be able to impress Korda and Sorenstam. And for that, she has been taking lessons from none other than Martha Foyer-Faulconer.
Positive news about Caitlin Clark’s golf preparations
When the opportunity to play with Sorenstam was announced, the Fever rookie shared that she loved golf and “so the opportunity to play in the Pro-Am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting.” Having known to have developed a penchant for golf at a young age, deriving it from her father, Clark had expressed once the WNBA season ended that she would be taking up the sport during the off-season.
Some fans even think that it was because of this that she might even avoid her primary sport and not play in the Unirvaled’s inaugural season. So it was obvious that the 22-year-old wanted to impress the legendary Sorenstam as well as show her capabilities in one of her favorite games. And that’s where Foyer-Faulconer came into the picture.
“Within the time we were working, we saw some drastic changes,” Foyer-Faulconer reflected on Clark’s skills. The TikTok that went viral showed that the Des Moines-born was quite tense in her shoulders. So in Indiana, Foyer-Faulconer gave the right-eye dominant athlete a lesson focusing on her short game. Clark is so interested in the sport that she is even looking for a golf home in the Hoosier State. But while the Fever rookie was learning some skills before her 2024 golf debut, she has already impressed her mentor.
“It’s also part of her DNA because she’s going to do things well. She wants to be as good as she can in everything she touches. She’s very driven and passionate. It’s fun to work with her,” Foyer-Faulconer has expressed.
Hopefully, Clark will win hearts just like last year, especially of her fans who will now be watching highlights on Golf Channel’s “Golf Today” after tuning in to the Women’s Leadership Summit on Tuesday at NBC. Looks like a busy and happy week awaits Clark ahead.
