Iowa Hawkeyes Left Speechless by Caitlin Clark’s Latest Admission
After missing five games with a left quadriceps strain, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark returned to the court on Saturday afternoon to face the New York Liberty.
Prior to getting hurt on May 24 in the first matchup against New York, the reigning Rookie of the Year had proven that her first season in the WNBA wasn’t a fluke. She averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game.
And on Saturday, Clark picked up right where she left off. She set a single-half record with 25 points and finished with 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. The Fever ended up defeating the Liberty 102-88, handing them their first loss of the 2025 WNBA season.

After the win, Clark took to social media to share several photos from the game and make an admission about returning to the team.
“good to be back🫶🏻💫,” she wrote.
Clark received plenty of messages in the comment section, including one from the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball program, the team she played for during her four seasons in college.
Iowa kept things short, leaving a comment with no words but rather two emojis.
“💛🖤,” the team wrote.

Clark played for the Hawkeyes from the 2020-21 season to the 2023-24 season. Over those four years, she averaged 28.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game and was a three-time unanimous First Team All-American and two-time Naismith Award winner.
The 6-foot guard led Iowa to back-to-back Final Four appearances and multiple Big Ten titles.
