Indiana Fever forward Katie Lou Samuelson has been under fire lately for her consistently poor performances. WNBA fans have been throwing shade at Lou Samuelson, but Christie Sides revealed some interesting news on the league veteran.
After the Fever’s 84-79 victory over the Atlanta Dream, Sides spoke with the media about Lou Samuelson.
She addressed the elephant in the room since Lou Samuelson finished the game playing just six minutes in the matchup. She posted zero points, one rebound, and three assists. It’s her third straight game with zero points.
Sides decided to start Lexie Hull in place of Lou Samuelson to start the second half of the game. The Fever coach later revealed that the WNBA veteran “wasn’t feeling well.”
It’s unknown whether Lou Samuelson has been feeling unwell for the past few games, but there’s clearly been a decline in her production as of late.
WNBA fans have been frustrated about the Fever forward, given her struggles on the offensive end.

Katie Lou Samuelson has averaged 4.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game for the Fever this season.
She’s started in 15 of the Fever’s 30 games. Despite being known for her offensive prowess, Lou Samuelson has struggled in terms of efficiency, shooting 32.6% from three-point range and 35.6% from the field.
The Fever may be dealing with lineup issues, but they’re still in a position to make their first WNBA playoff appearance since 2016.
They’re ranked as the No. 7 team in the league with a 14-16 record.
Sides and company have 10 games left in the regular season to make necessary adjustments before a potential playoff run.
