And the ESPY goes to … Caitlin Clark.
Thursday night’s ESPY Awards weren’t a sweep for former Iowa basketball standout Caitlin Clark, but she did walk away with two accolades, including her second-consecutive award for Best College Athlete, Women’s Sports.

Clark was nominated for three ESPY Awards:
Best athlete, women’s sports
Best record-breaking performance (becoming the NCAA all-time scoring leader)
Best college athlete, women’s sports
The Indiana Fever rookie’s second win of the night was for Best Record-Breaking Performance, beating out San Francisco 49er Christian McCaffrey’s 17-straight games with a touchdown, Stanford Women’s Basketball Coach Tara VanDerveer’s 1,203rd win to pass Coach K for most wins by any coach in NCAA basketball history, and Max Verstappen’s 10th consecutive race victory at the Italian Grand Prix.
