Connor McDavid, the captain of the Edmonton Oilers, sustained an injury at a recent match against the Winnipeg Jets. Not only did the match mess up the Edmonton Oilers’ winning streak but also injured the captain of the team.
Since then, the coach of the team, Kris Knoblauch, has revealed that both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl would be taking a break for a week at least. While Connor McDavid has kept a low profile since the injury, his wife, Lauren Kyle recently shared a post featuring him.

Connor McDavid’s wife, Lauren Kyle, took to her Instagram to post a series of stories about her interior design business, Kyle & Co., moving to a new space. Amidst videos and pictures of her workspace, she also posted a glimpse of her husband, the star player of the Edmonton Oilers.
As per the Instagram story posted by Lauren Kyle, Connor McDavid is seen cooking. While it has not been revealed what the couple was planning to cook, Connor McDavid looks pretty focused as he is seen using a mixer for it.
The captain of the Edmonton Oilers, Connor McDavid, looks handsome in a grey sweater that he has paired with a white cap. He was also spotted wearing a watch. While it has not been confirmed what type of injury Connor McDavid has sustained, there are rumours of a groin injury.
In the videos posted by Connor McDavid’s wife, Lauren Kyle, the star player looks fine, so he must be recovering pretty well.
Coming back to the situation of the Edmonton Oilers, the team had lost their momentum in the middle but quickly redeemed themselves with a winning streak. While the streak did end with a loss against the Winnipeg Jets, the team recently won their first match without Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl as they won against the Seattle Kraken.
A few days ago, when Edmonton Oilers’ coach, Kris Knoblauch spoke about Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl taking a break, he had also opened up about how it would help the team’s morale to play without their star players. It seems like the Edmonton Oilers have taken it seriously.
The Edmonton Oilers will be spotted playing against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night. This will be their second match without Connor McDavid.
