Connor McDavid’s Wife Turns Heads With Message For Leon Draisaitl’s Fiancée
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are arguably the best 1-2 punch in the NHL. The Edmonton Oilers duo are on the path to becoming Hall of Famers one day, but their strong connection goes beyond what they do on the ice together. Perhaps even tighter than the McDavid-Draisaitl tandem is the friendship of their partners.
McDavid’s wife, Lauren Kyle, and Draisaitl’s fiancee, Celeste Desjardins, have been friends for some time now. Kyle let everyone know again how close she and Desjardins are to each other with a heartfelt post on Instagram on Friday evening.
“Here’s to another season with my best friend 🤍,” Kyle wrote to caption a short clip of her and Desjardins sharing a moment.

Kyle’s message has drawn plenty of reactions from her followers, including one from Desjardins, of course.
“Ready for another great season 🧡💙,” Desjardins commented.
“The mcdavid and draisaitl girlie versions , gotta love it 🧡,” said a user klaudiaacaldwell.
“I love your friendship ❤️❤️,” shared dawnmichelle1031.
“Who likes eachother more, Drai and McDavid or Celeste and Lauren?” asked buckoilcrouse. “Either way I’m here for it. Oilers forever!”
“So McDavid resigns next year right,” wondered daniel.r.w.s, who is clearly aware that the three-time Hart Memorial Trophy winner has one more year left on his current contract beyond the 2024-25 season.
As for the Oilers, they started the season on the wrong foot, having lost to the Winnipeg Jets in their season opener last Wednesday, 6-0. They will look to win their first game (and score their first goal) of the season again this Saturday against Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks at home.
