No matter what Drake tries to do, he simply cannot get away from Kendrick Lamar.

Lamar put an exclamation point on another historic moment in rap’s evolution. The Grammy winner took music’s biggest stage at Super Bowl 59 for a halftime performance that won’t soon be forgotten.

With Samuel L. Jackson in a full Uncle Sam outfit and top hat, the rapper kicked off his 13-minute performance in front of 76,000 fans.

The California native teased playing “Not Like Us”‘ several times before eventually playing it at the end of his set.

A week after winning five Grammys for his Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar took a victory lap by playing it again.

Drake previously issued a statement addressing Kendrick’s diss song. He sued Universal Music Group (UMG) for defamation.

The Canadian’s lawsuit challenges both the song’s release and its promotion, arguing that the track falsely portrays him in a damaging light.
