This guy is the biggest clown in Alberta… and that’s sayin’ something!
The unnamed golfer who antagonized Tarnasky at an Alberta golf course, received an embarrassing smackdown when he mistakenly tried to throw hands over an argument on pace of play. The man, who appeared heavily intoxicated, was screaming at Tarnasky and tried to engage him in a fight. Tarnasky pigeon tossed him in the lake and then proceeded to feed him about four or five face punches before throwing him to the ground like I do with my 9 iron after my 15th shank in 12 holes.
If you haven’t seen the viral video yet, feast your eyes:
Last night, the unnamed aggressor reportedly posted an update on social media.
I’ll be the first to say that I have no way of verifying whether or not this is indeed the same guy, but the post is making its way around social media this morning.
Check out this clown:

The beauty of this is that black eyes heal pretty quickly, but the embarrassment of getting tossed in a lake will live on forever.
Former NHLer Nick Tarnasky is reportedly under investigation and his job as a u-17 minor hockey coach in Red Deer, AB is at stake.
Tarnasky, of course, has gone viral this week after absolutely STARCHING a drunken fool on an Alberta golf course. The video shows Tarnasky’s group arguing with a pair of apparently drunk men about pace of play. Some harsh words — “You’re not that tough,” “Pick your s*** up and get going” — leads to one of the men repeatedly yelling “F***ing cry about it” at Tarnasky and challenging him.
The man rushes Tarnasky and… well… that’s where the real fun begins.
Tarnasky throws the man into a lake and them proceeds to personally narrative each face punch with a loud ‘BANG! BANG! BANG!’ when he comes back for more.
Red Deer Minor Hockey confirmed to the Associated Press that they are aware of the viral video and they are investigating the matter internally.
“We are aware of a video circulating on social media involving a coach with Red Deer Minor Hockey,” the organization said in a statement. “At this time, given that we understand the matter is being reviewed by local policing authorities and we are conducting our own internal investigation into the alleged incident, we will have no further comments.”
In my mind, Tarnasky did nothing wrong.
He warned the aggressor what would happen to him if he escalated things and he simply followed through. I would expect that this will all blow over in due time and Tarnasky will go on living a relatively quiet life in Red Deer, AB.
Read below for the full context and video from Tarnasky’s on-course altercation, published as events occurred.
Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got an absolute beauty of a viral video for you today.
There’s a viral video making its way around social media today and it just so happens to feature former NHL enforcer Nick Tarnasky.
From what I can decipher two groups of “gentlemen” are in a disagreement on the tee at a Canadian golf course. Tarnasky can be heard saying that the group in front of them “stood around for 23 minutes”, so I can only imagine that there’s a pace of play issue here. That’s all but confirmed when buddy in the blue floral shirt appears too drunk to even tee up his ball.
I’m guessing that Tarnasky and his group asked to play through a group of drunken idiots and were rebuffed. That’s when things escalated.
Tarnasky warns his aggressor that “you don’t wanna go me” and tells him that if he comes at him “I’m gonna throw you in this f***ing lake unless you get going”.
That’s when things go off the rails and Tarnasky proceeds to not only throw this idiot into the lake, but he also dummies him with literal “BANGS” to the face and pigeon tosses him like he’s a pebble.
