Caitlin Clark’s connection with her fans has always been exceptional, especially during her time at Iowa. Her games have set records for viewership and ratings. When the Indiana Fever selected her as the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, it was a monumental moment for her fans, who significantly increased WNBA ratings.
Players, analysts, and fans have consistently praised Clark for her exceptional skills and large fanbase. With the 2025 WNBA season just around the corner, exciting news has emerged online that perfectly illustrates why Caitlin Clark is truly the face of the WNBA.
According to a recent post by the Clark Report on X (formerly Twitter), WNBA teams have decided not to include games against the Indiana Fever in their half-season ticket packages due to potential financial losses. For instance, while the Seattle Storm and New York Liberty include their games against the Fever in several ticket packages, the Minnesota Lynx have excluded them.
By leaving out the games against the Fever from their half-season packages, teams can sell tickets at higher prices later. It’s clear that games involving Clark will likely attract more fans, subsequently driving up ticket prices.
College Basketball Expert Highlights Challenges Ahead For JuJu Watkins In Pursuit Of Caitlin Clark’s NCAA Scoring Record
JuJu Watkins is an incredibly talented college basketball player for the USC Trojans. She has emerged as a top scorer in women’s college basketball. As a freshman, she averaged an outstanding 27.1 points, along with 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. However, Robin Lundberg raises an interesting point about the challenges Watkins may face in her pursuit of Clark’s NCAA scoring record of 3,951 points.
“I think it’s a tough hill for JuJu to climb. I basically did the math on this. She could have some extra games, which is possible, but overall she’s going to have to increase her scoring output, she’s on pace from her freshman season, but that pace is not going to be there very long, considering her sophomore scoring output and what Clark did as a junior and specifically her senior year.” Lundberg said on the recent episode of “The Robin Lundberg Show.”
Clark achieved several significant milestones during her college career and continued to accumulate achievements after her WNBA debut. Recently, she amazed basketball enthusiasts by being named TIME’s Athlete of the Year following her impressive rookie season in the WNBA.
