On Wednesday night, former UConn Huskies guard Nika Muhl will make her WNBA debut. Muhl, the No. 14 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, missed the early portion of the season with visa issues.
We’ll learn a lot about what Muhl is capable of in her WNBA debut as the Seattle Storm are set to face off vs. the Indiana Fever. Muhl will likely draw the assignment of having to defend Caitlin Clark throughout the game. Muhl played great defensively vs. Clark during UConn’s NCAA Tournament loss to Iowa earlier this year.
Is Muhl the Clark stopper? We’ll see. All she’s asking is that the former Iowa Hawkeye doesn’t embarrass her and shoot too many logo threes.
“Caitlin, my girl, I miss you so much,” Muhl said. “I love you. Hopefully, we both make the team. And I can’t wait to see you and play against you, man!
“No logo threes against me! No logo threes. Love you, Caitlin!”
Nika Muhl speaks in an interview after she is selected with the number fourteen overall pick to the Seattle Storm in the 2024 WNBA Draft at Brooklyn Academy of Music.
