Rose BC clinched their first victory in the Unrivaled 2025 season.

Angel Reese and her Rose BC team clinched their first victory in the Unrivaled 2025 season, defeating Breanna Stewart‘s Mist BC 71-66 on Saturday.
Despite struggling individually, Reese‘s side avoided becoming the last winless team in the competition, breaking through in what was a critical matchup for both teams, as Mist BC also entered the game winless.

Reese, who had solid performances in her first two games, endured a challenging outing on Saturday. She played a season-low eight minutes after being plagued by foul trouble early on.
Reese’s struggles
Tasked with containing Breanna Stewart, who delivered a dominant 20-point performance on 10-of-18 shooting, Reese struggled to make an impact.
Reese finished the game with just four points on 2-of-6 shooting, missing several close-range attempts.
She added six rebounds but committed three turnovers, further limiting her effectiveness. The fouls disrupted her rhythm and kept her off the floor during crucial moments, including the fourth quarter.
Fans took to X to express their disappointment with Reese‘s performance. Criticism ranged from harsh evaluations of her game to comparisons with NBA role players.
“Angel Reese sucks at basketball & she hasn’t improved whatsoever. Post all the fake in-the-gym videos; your game on the court looks BAD,” a fan wrote.
“Angel is a good role player her fans just hype her up to be a superstar, which she’s not. She’s just like [Andre] Drummond; he made a couple of All-Star appearances too,” another added.
A third said: “Brick Barbie”.
While Reese struggled, her teammate Lexie Hull delivered a standout performance. Hull, also a member of Caitlin Clark’s Fever team, exploded for 19 points in just 10 minutes, shooting an impressive 8-of-11 from the field. She added three rebounds and three assists, providing a spark that turned the tide for Rose BC.

The game was a battle from start to finish, with both teams desperate to avoid extending their losing streaks. Breanna Stewart showcased her dominance, keeping Mist BC competitive throughout the night. However, Reese‘s early foul trouble and missed opportunities at the rim allowed Mist BC to keep the game close.
Despite Reese‘s struggles, Rose BC capitalized on Hull’s stellar performance and key contributions from the rest of the team to seal the win.
