Is Haliey Welch dating Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold?
Rumors about the two have been percolating in recent weeks, and now the NSFW podcaster known as ‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ is ready to reveal her boyfriend on Tuesday’s episode.
The ‘Talk Tuah’ podcast ran a promo on X featuring handful of possibilities, including comedian Matt Rife and country music star Morgan Wallen.
But those who are familiar with her show, or social media gossip, all quickly focused in on Darnold, who is enjoying a resurgent season with the 7-2 Vikings this year. Last month, an X account with the handle @NFCNorthNews (a reference to Minnesota’s division within the NFL), reported the two were dating only to reveal a split the following week. However, the legitimacy of the account is certainly questionable.
For now, the public knows is that Welch, 22, has a boyfriend whom she refers to as ‘Pookie.’ And as she previously told Jake Paul on another podcast, Pookie has ‘black hair and the longest eyelashes you’ve ever seen.’
This would seem to suggest the red-haired Darnold is not Pookie, but she could just be trying to throw her many followers off the scent.
Asked on a previous podcast how long she’s been with Pookie, Welch struggled to say definitively, explaining that their relationship has been complicated.
Ultimately she and her co-host put the relationship at somewhere between 1 and 3 years, although Welch explained they haven’t really put any label on their romance.
She was rumored to be on an August date with a Bravo star, Summer House’s West Wilson, but that doesn’t appear to have developed into anything further.
Welch first revealed the existence of Pookie in the online video that made her famous, telling the camera: ‘I love you Pookie.’
For what it’s worth, Darnold has been romantically linked to other women, putting any romance with Welch into further doubt.
