It’s not often that people can tell Lexie Hull and her twin sister apart, but it got a lot easier following her latest injury on the court.

Hull and the Indiana Fever were looking to end a two-game losing streak on Tuesday night, hosting Gabby Williams and the Seattle Storm at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Indiana Fever caught another bout of bad luck on the injury front when the Fever’s star guard left the game in the first quarter after knocking her head against Seattle’s Gabby Williams while trying to steal the ball.

Both players went down to the court in pain, clutching their heads.

Officials eventually called an injury timeout, and trainers went over to help both Hull and Williams.

Lexie Hull was first on her feet as she slowly stood up with a towel on her head. She immediately went back to the locker room with Fever trainer Todd Champlin. Williams also checked out of the game, but would eventually come back in.

Eventually, Hull would make her way back to the game, but not before she received a huge knot to her forehead.

Lexie was all smiles after the game.

The Indiana Fever Needs Lexie Hull

Coming into Tuesday, the Fever have lost six of their last eight games, and three players to season-ending injuries during that stretch.

The team was forced to sign guard Shey Peddy to a second seven-day hardship contract as they continue to navigate a season riddled with injuries.

The latest one was guard Sophie Cunningham being out for the remainder of the season after sustaining an injury during the team’s 99-93 overtime win against the Connecticut Sun last week.

The backcourt has been further depleted by season-ending injuries to Sydney Colson, who tore her ACL, and Aari McDonald, who suffered a broken bone in her right foot.

Lexie Hull has been a strong presence for Indiana during her fourth year with the team. This season, she is averaging 7.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, all career highs.

They need her healthy and playing well if they want any chance of getting into the playoffs and possibly having Caitlin Clark back on the court.
