Chicago Sky Facing Backlash for Post During Third Straight Loss
The Chicago Sky have begun the 2025 WNBA season with an 0-3 record under new head coach Tyler Marsh. After dropping two games against 2024 playoff teams to begin the year, the Sky fell to the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday.
Los Angeles finished 8-32 last season, which was the worst record in the WNBA. The Sparks did add two-time All-Star guard Kelsey Plum into the fold this offseason, but they still began the year 1-3.

Chicago lost by a score of 91 to 78 to the Sparks, marking their third straight game that they lost by double-figures. Still, the team posted a graphic on social media celebrating guard Kia Nurse’s 500th career rebound.
Fans have been growing increasingly frustrated with the Sky’s slow start. However, they were especially irked that the team was celebrating an individual achievement while the team is struggling to win games. Several fans took to social media to express their frustration.

Second-year forward Angel Reese responded with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double, which marked her 31st straight game with double-digit rebounds. Nurse also added nine points and three rebounds.
Chicago will be back in action on Tuesday, as they’ll travel to Phoenix to take on the 2-1 Mercury. They’ll still be looking for their first win of the 2025 season.
