WNBA fans took shots at DiJonai Carrington after her girlfriend and Indiana Fever forward NaLyssa Smith took to social media on Monday and urged the users to “make Twitter fun again.” Smith called for fans to bring back more humor and keep the platform lighthearted rather than overly serious.

Many fans responded to Smith’s lighthearted request on social media, with some pointing out her girlfriend’s sensitivity toward jokes and online trolling.

“When people troll here…. long nails cries about it and call people names,” a fan wrote.

“You’re girlfriend literally called the entire Fever fan base the worst fans because of trolling. You both might want to get on the same page,” commented another fan.

“We had all the jokes for Dijonaise but she was too soft?” said an X user.

During the 2024 WNBA regular season, Connecticut Sun star DiJonai Carrington called out the Indiana Fever fans after playing at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
