Just when it seems like Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department is done selling huge numbers of copies, the title becomes a bestseller again. The album is one of the top performers when it comes to pure purchases in a long, long time in America, and the title experiences yet another surge in sales this week on the charts.

Swift recently released the Anthology version of The Tortured Poets Department on physical formats for the first time. Just hours after delivering the full-length in the spring, the singer turned it into a double album, which she titled the Anthology.
That set has only been available digitally and on streaming until recently, when it was finally shared on CD and vinyl, and that release turned it into a blockbuster once more.
Luminate reports that in the past tracking week, The Tortured Poets Department sold another 368,000 copies.
That kind of sales sum is nearly impossible for almost any other artist in the industry to reach, even when their album is brand new, and they’ve been promoting it for weeks.
Swift hits that figure months after releasing her latest, and despite the fact that it’s already been purchased several million times in the U.S. alone.

The week before the Anthology edition of The Tortured Poets Department dropped, the set sold a little more than 8,200 copies. That’s still a huge number for a months-old title, and it was still present inside the top 20 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.
From one frame to the next, The Tortured Poets Department experienced a 4,377% sales increase, according to Billboard.
The Anthology release, as well as holiday shoppers in big-box retailers and looking around online, are responsible for that massive uptick, and for making Swift’s latest studio offering a behemoth once more.
The Tortured Poets Department rockets to No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart this week, jumping from No. 17 to the top spot. Swift’s bestseller has now spent 17 frames somewhere on the Billboard tally, and nine of those have been in first place.

The increase in pure purchases from one week to the next is so enormous, The Tortured Poets Department manages to return to No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts.
The lengthy project finds its way back to the loftiest spot on lists like the Billboard 200 and Vinyl Albums tally as well. The set shifted a total of 405,000 equivalent units, with streams largely making up the nearly 40,000 units that weren’t actual sales.
