Here we go again… Why are some fans still expecting more from him? Details below:
At this point, I am no longer surprised or shocked by Evander Kane’s attitude.
And so when he got on X when people questioned his classless actions from Tuesday night when the Florida Panthers won their second consecutive Stanley Cup and he did not join his Edmonton Oilers teammates for the traditional handshake line, I was not expecting much.

As you may remember during the third period of Game 6 between the Oilers and Panthers earlier this week, Kane started losing his temper and having a hissy fit on the ice, swinging his stick at Matthew Tkachuk and attempting to injure him.
Kane was therefore given a misconduct and was ejected from the contest.
However, once the final buzzer went off and the Cats celebrated, Kane did not come out of the tunnel to join his teammates in the line.
Many pundits and insiders noticed how the Oilers’ forward showed classless disrespect for the winners and he has since been called out and getting a lot of heat for his terrible decision on social media.
On Friday, during the Jets @ Noon podcast, hosts Cam Poitras and Jim Toth were speaking about Kane’s disrespect, which led Toth to speak about other examples of Kane’s bad attitude from the time he was in the juniors.
Moments later, Kane took to X to comment on the segment, attempting perhaps to explain his reason for not coming out for the handshake with the Panthersl, only to look even more like an idiot:
“My goodness talk about fabricating
Here are 5 facts.
1. Never played in Kootenay(cranbrook) as a 15 year old or 16 year old as a rookie like you claimed I did.
2. Played 1 single game in Kootenay and it was in my last year of Junior.
3. I Won a memorial cup when I was 15
4. Also, I never won a WHL championship.
5. Jim’s a liar and a hater but lucky for him he’s not alone.”
