Angel Reese’s game has caught the attention of all 12 WNBA coaches.

Her defensive tenacity and elite rebounding ability makes her a problem. And on offense, Reese has a plethora of post moves that will either get her to the free throw line or have her making another basket.

But it is Reese’s personality that has attracted her the most attention. The Chicago Sky’s fanbase, basketball fans around the world, and even WNBA coaches can’t help but take notice of whatever Reese is doing or saying.

And prior to the Sky’s Thursday game against the New York Liberty, Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello gave an honest assessment about the “Chi Barbie”.

New York Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello speaks to her players on the court during the first half in game one of the 2023 WNBA Finals against the Las Vegas Aces at Michelob Ultra Arena.

“I love it,” Brondello said, when asked about how Reese displays her personality on the court. “Everyone should bring their personality to this league, and she’s big time. She’s a great basketball player: she’s got an engine, she knows how to finish in the RA. She’s confident and every young kid should have confidence.”

You’ve got to love a legendary coach showing respect to an opposing team’s rookie.

Now let’s see how Brondello will game plan against Reese this evening.
