Paige Bueckers LEFT SPEECHLESS—What Reporter Said After Her First Loss Will Shock You-Wings vs Lynx

Paige Bueckers’ Big Change in Appearance Turns Heads

Paige Bueckers is set to play in her second WNBA game on Monday night as she looks to help lead the Dallas Wings to their first win of the new season.

Bueckers fell a tad short in her WNBA debut on Friday, registering 10 points and seven rebounds, as Dallas suffered a 99-84 loss to the Minnesota Lynx on opening night.

Fans are already looking forward to the 23-year-old’s return to action on Monday, which will likely feature a big change in her appearance.

The WNBA posted a video interview of Bueckers just before Monday’s matchup against the Seattle Storm. In it, the 6-foot guard opens up about her decision to change her hairstyle now that she’s turned pro.

Bueckers decided to ditch her iconic braids, which fans had gotten used to during her UConn days. In her Wings debut, the former Huskies superstar went for a slick back ponytail, which was a welcome change for her.

Bueckers shared the thought process that went into the big change.

“I don’t know how to do much else with my hair,” she admitted. “I had to give my scalp a break from the braids. So it was either like slick back pony, slick back bun. I don’t think I’m committing to either. So I’m leaving the door open for both options.”

Buckers’ comments quickly turned heads on social media as the fans shared their reactions to her revelation.

“Im rooting for braids.i wanna see tonight the real P,” a comment on Instagram read.

“The slick back ponytail is the way,” said another.

“She needs to use a wax stick and some pattern gel,” suggested a viewer.

“hoping the bun makes an appearance tonight @paigebueckers,” requested a fan.

“A Baller named Slickback,” another wrote.

“Bring back the braids, the kids loved it,” a user demanded.

It was a mixed bag of reactions from the fans. However, after Bueckers debuted the slick back ponytail in her first game, some supporters are hoping to see the slick back bun on Monday night against the Storm.

Whatever the case might be, what’s more important is that Bueckers is, hopefully, able to make a statement in her second game by letting her game do the talking.
