Fans shared a flood of support for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi, after she shared an image taken in the hospital with her father and asked for prayers.
Randi posted the image on X, showing her point of view as she sat next to her father lying in a hospital bed. Her daughter, Mia, appeared to be there as well. All three watched Mahomes’ football game against the Los Angeles Chargers on the television.

“Watching game with daddy today… prayers please for my dad,” she wrote alongside the photo. She shared no further details about her father’s health condition or why he was in the hospital.

Fans did as Randi requested, with replies like, “Sending positive thoughts 🙏,” “Oh goodness I am sorry. Prayers up for your Dad! 🙏,” and “I wish him a speedy recovery.”

It appears that her father has been in the hospital for weeks now, as Randi posted on Sept. 13, saying, “Prayer warriors please pray for my daddy. He is in the hospital and is not well.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 his name is Randy.”
But Randi also had some reasons to celebrate this month, including her eldest son’s birthday. She paid tribute to Mahomes on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself, Mia, her other son, Jackson Mahomes, and Patrick’s wife, Brittany, standing near an elaborate balloon creation.
“Celebrating 29 years of being a mom!! lol Happy bday son i love you #sept17 #blessed,” Randi captioned the image. Brittany also had a recent birthday at the end of August.
Mahomes has experienced a successful football season so far, with four wins and zero losses for the Chiefs, but it hasn’t been without some struggles. Mahomes’ teammate and close friend, Travis Kelce, has been criticized recently for his performance on the field, though he has done his best to ignore the negative talk and focus on the game.
