Patrick Mahomes shows class and sportmanship
The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-24 in overtime Monday night, with the Bucs putting up a strong fight but coming up short. After the final play, Mahomes helped rival linebacker Lavonte David get up and gave him a hug.
“I got you big dog. I got you, I got you, good game.” said Mahomes as he ran to help his rival.
“Much respect dog.” continued que Chiefs quarterback.
“Yeah, same to you, bro, it`s been a pleasure, bro.”replied David.
Mahomes then went on to ask his opponent for his jersey.
The Chiefs quarterback also had some nice words of encouragement for Baker Mayfield.
“Keep leading these dudes, man. You’re doing y’all’s thing man.” said Mahomes.
