Former South Carolina star Sania Feagin was selected by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2025 WNBA Draft, and her contract figures have been revealed.
According to Spotrac, Feagin is projected to sign a three-year contract with a fourth-year option that has a total value of $305,957.
In the first year, Feagin will make $69,267. Her second-year salary will be $70,653, and it will increase to $77,720 in Year 3. If the team picks up the fourth-year option, Sania Feagin will get a salary of $88,317.
Sania Feagin was selected by the Sparks at No. 21 overall in the draft.
She spent her entire college career at South Carolina and helped the team win the national championship in 2022 and 2024.
Last year, Feagin averaged 8.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, and that led to her being named to the SEC All-Defensive Team.
Earlier this year, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley praised Feagin for her commitment to the program. “Proud. Proud. She stuck with us when it wasn’t popular,” Staley said. “You can see if she wants to play anything less than her standard, she probably should have transferred but she wanted to play to her standard, and she’s stepped up in a big way.
What WNBA Draft experts are saying about Sania Feagin
“We need her more than anything. She’s been holding it down with bigger, stronger, more-girth post players because she’s smart, and she’s talented, and she’s skillful and she’s utilizing all those things right now.”
Before the draft, Charlie Creme of ESPN gave an analysis of Feagin. “A 6-foot-5 wingspan and a high basketball IQ has made Feagin into a good prospect as a defender,” Creme wrote.
“Her offensive game began to show promise late this season, but value there will come as a screener and offensive rebounder.
After Feagin was selected by the Sparks, Creme wrote, “With Cameron Brink out until at least June as she recovers from last season’s ACL injury, Feagin supplies some insurance in the post. She can defend, and she grew considerably as an offensive player in her final college season.”
