SHE LIED TO US ! Aliyah Boston DIDN’T HOLD BACK As Indiana Fever ALMOST LOSE To Dallas Wings Without Caitlin Clark!
Without Caitlin Clark of WNBA Indiana Fever on the court, facing a Dallas Wings team hungry for an upset, and coming off a brutal loss to the LA Sparks the night before, everything pointed to disaster.
The crowd of 20,409 came expecting to see Clark face Paige Bueckers of WNBA Dallas Wings for the first time in the WNBA. Instead, they witnessed something even more remarkable. And what Aliyah Boston of WNBA Indiana Fever said after the game after they almost lost?
Aliyah Boston Reacts to Heartfelt Moment with Caitlin Clark
The Indiana Fever played their second game of the 2025 WNBA preseason on Sunday, coming off a 79—74 overtime win against the Washington Mystics the day before in Indianapolis.
This time, the stage was set at the University of Iowa, as Caitlin Clark and her teammates made a special return to her alma mater. The Fever faced the Brazil national team and cruised to a 108—44 blowout win.
Clark put up 16 points, six rebounds and five assists, while forward Aliyah Boston did her job on the glass, recording 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

During the game, Clark was mic’d up, and the Fever shared a video that captured a heartfelt moment with Boston.
As Boston sat on the bench, Clark walked over, gave her a hug, and said, “I miss this. You’re going to be amazing because you are amazing. Love you. Have fun.”
Boston reposted that video on her Instagram story using two of the same emojis.
“🥹🥹,” Boston wrote.

Iowa women’s basketball also shared the moment, posting a photo that captured just the hug. Clark then reposted it on her Instagram story with the caption “All feels okay again @aliyah.boston.”
Boston later replied to her.
“It sure does bookie 🫶🏾,” she added.

The two rising stars were both selected No. 1 overall by the Fever—Boston in 2023 and Clark in 2024—and each earned WNBA Rookie of the Year honors in their first seasons.
They built a strong bond last year, leading the team to a 20–20 record before falling in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs. Now, they look to build on that momentum as they open the regular season on May 17 against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
