The decorated Olympian has been keeping fans updated on the progress of her Texas home over the past year.
Fresh off of winning three gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Simone Biles appears to be tackling her next big project: creating her new home with husband Jonathan Owens.
On Aug. 14, the 27-year-old gymnast shared photos from the ongoing construction of her house. She uploaded four pictures to an Instagram story that showed a glimpse of the progress so far.
In one photo, the cabinets, backsplash and countertops were already installed in her kitchen and it appeared a range hood would be added next.

Biles took a selfie in the second snap, which revealed a mostly empty room aside from a ceiling fan, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and planks of wood on the floor.

The third photo seemed to show the early stages of a grand walk-in shower.

Her fourth and final photo revealed what looked to be a massive walk-in closet with multiple built-in shelves and drawers.

Biles simply added a few side-eye emoji to the post.
According to People, Biles and Owens are having the home built in Texas. She has been keeping fans updated about their dream home for about a year.
She first uploaded a sneak peek of the new construction in September 2023. At the time, only the bare bones of the house — like the stairs, walls and roof — were in place.
“Loading…,” she captioned a slideshow of photos that showed her sitting on the steps, Owens walking through the construction and the couple holding hands.
Biles shared another update in November 2023 of some new additions, including sliding glass doors.
But, the couple had a slight setback a few weeks later. Although the Olympic gold medalist did not specifically reveal details of the issues, she wrote on her Instagram story at the time that she spent six hours trying to resolve the problem, People reported.
“Called my dad for backup yesterday bc I panicked! but I’ve made so much progress & I’m so proud of myself,” she captioned one Instagram story, according to the outlet. “jonathan will deal with the end result oops……..I hope I did it decently & thought of all the things.”
She also included a photo of yellow stains covering some of the floor tiles. “I cannot deal anymore,” she wrote beneath the picture.
With her latest update Aug. 14, it seems their renovation project is back on track and the couple is one step closer to moving in.
