The Gamecocks (8-3) are on a five-game winning streak.

Collin Murray-Boyles leads USC to upset over Clemson
USC sophomore guard Collin Murray-Boyles was the star of the showdown between the Gamecocks and Clemson Tigers (9-3) on Tuesday.
““Really excited for the guys to have that kind of experience — great atmosphere,” USC coach Lamont Paris said after the game. “And then just to fight through all the adversity that we had … we showed some real character in some of those moments, in regrouping and gathering to channel the right energy and the right focus that it took to win in that last extra five minutes.
“But this was fun. This is what college basketball is about.”
Clemson coach Brad Brownell was disappointed that his team lost, but he credited Murray-Boyles, who racked up 22 points and nine rebounds, for leading the Gamecocks to the win at the Tigers’ expense.
The sophomore fouled out under a minute to go in overtime, but he already had the job done for USC to clinch the win.
“Certainly, the fouling was a problem for us at the end,” Brownell said, according to ON3. “And, again, they just, they made one or two more plays. Collin Murray-Boyles down the stretch was probably the difference.”
Clemson continued to fight back, shooting 9 of 11 across a stretch in the second half, but the Tigers ultimately fell short in overtime.
Up next, USC hopes to carry the momentum as it hosts Radford on Sunday.
