The omission of Caitlin Clark from Team USA’s women’s basketball team for the 2024 Paris Olympics has been a well-discussed topic. Clark, the top pick of the 2024 WNBA draft, missed the cut for the 12-player Olympics roster.
However, Clark still has an outside chance to play for Team USA in the Olympics, as per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
“No Caitlin Clark, but I’m told that Caitlin Clark and Breanna Jones of Connecticut are top the alternates’ list if there is a need to have a replacement,” Charania said.

“Caitlin Clark pr team is generational,” one fan said.
“The alternative is more popular than anyone on the main roster lol” another fan commented.“Caitlin Clark being a replacement is crazy 😭😭,” another fan said.

“Arike Ogunbowale needs to be top of that list as well,” a fan said.
“Arike getting snubbed from the alternates that’s so disrespectful,” another fan wrote.
“I get CC from a money standpoint, but I wish Arike would get her rightful nod,” one fan said.
Caitlin Clark has averaged 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists so far to lead the rebuilding Indiana Fever.
Fever coach reveals Caitlin Clark’s first response to Team USA snub
“We talked actually on the bus. She got the call on the bus. She texted me to let me know. I just tried to keep her spirits up. The thing she said was, ‘Hey, coach. They woke a monster,’ which I thought was awesome.”
The Fever need a motivated Clark soon as they seek to salvage their season after starting 3-9.
In her most recent game, Clark dropped 30 points on 8-of-15 shooting, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals to lead the Fever to a 85-83 win against the Washington Mystics.
