The competitiveness of women’s March Madness has fans tuning in.
Cameron Brink appeared to curse out the referee after fouling out.
Stanford women’s basketball star Cameron Brink did not go quietly when she fouled out against Iowa State in the NCAA Tournament.
Cameras caught the Cardinal center appearing to dish out an F-bomb at the referee as she walked to the bench, with her team trailing in the final minutes.

The clip made its way around social media, sparking comparison with fellow women’s March Madness stars Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, who have both been seen making controversial gestures of their own already in the NCAA Tournament.

“Stanford’s Cameron Brink fouls out of her final home game and gives the ref a big “F*ck you” while leaving the court,” said a post on Twitter/X with the video of Brink’s choice words to the ref.
“Imagine if Angel Reese did this.”
These young women are proving that they are just as competitive as their male counterparts, even though public perception has not caught up to that reality.
Kiki Iriafen leads Stanford to Sweet 16
Even without its best player, Tara VanDerveer’s Stanford advanced to the Sweet 16 after the instant classic.
The 87-81 overtime win was powered by a herculean 41-point, 16-rebound performance by Kiki Iriafen.
Brink had just eight points in 22 minutes as she battled foul trouble in a physical matchup with the Cyclones’ freshman phenom Audi Crooks. Crooks also had a quiet game with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Cameron Brink’s WNBA future
After Clark, the 6-foot-4 senior is regarded as one of the top talents in the 2024 WNBA Draft class.
However, like Reese, she has one more year of NCAA eligibility if she wants to use it, and has postponed a decision until the end of the season.
Brink has an incredible mentor to prepare her for the next level in Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who is her god brother and has been seen regularly at her games in the Bay Area.
However, it seems like Brink will need some lessons on respecting the refs while the cameras are on her if she wants to be the face of a WNBA franchise.
