TECHNICAL, Angel Reese THROWS BALL After Her 5th Foul Called | Chicago Sky vs New York Liberty WNBA.
Angel Reese Receives Technical Foul For Disrespectful Act During Sky vs. Liberty WNBA Game
The Chicago Sky and the New York Liberty are engaged in a tightly contested WNBA game on Saturday.
With less than seven minutes remaining in the game, Angel Reese has 8 points and 10 rebounds. Which means she needs at least one more basket if she’s to continue her historic streak of double-doubles, which currently sits at 15.
But Reese didn’t do herself any favors during the fourth quarter.
At one point in the game’s final frame, Reese received a technical foul for an emotional outburst she made after being called for a foul under the basket.

While Reese was also jawing at the referees for the foul call, the reason she got a technical foul was because she threw the basketball in frustration behind her rather than hand or pass it to the referee.
When Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon asked why Reese received the technical, they explained that it was because of Reese’s disrespectful gesture of throwing the ball behind her.
Now Reese has five fouls and is sitting on the bench with both the game and her double-double streak on the line.
Time will tell whether this technical foul comes back to haunt her and the Sky on Saturday.
