Connor McDavid, officials slammed after nasty elbow.

Connor McDavid led the way for the Oilers on Wednesday, scoring twice in a 5-3 win against the Wild. However, McDavid also found himself in controversy after a nasty hit on Marcus Johansson. Now, the Wild is absolutely slamming officials for the no-call on McDavid.
McDavid recorded his 60th, 61st, and 62nd points of the season against the Wild on Wednesday, leading the Oilers to a 5-3 victory with two goals and an assist. He is now in sole possession of fourth place in the NHL points race. But it wasn’t all positives and praise for McDavid after his standout performance.
During the game, McDavid caught Wild forward Marcus Johansson with a clear elbow hit, which many considered intentional and dirty.
Connor McDavid leaves Johansson bloodied
Johansson was bloodied and forced to exit the game early, with the team citing an upper-body injury. McDavid wasn’t penalized for the hit, but many now expect him to face some form of punishment, potentially a fine or a one-game suspension.
Postgame, the Wild was furious about the no-call on McDavid. Defenseman Jake Middleton called it “horseshit” and claimed that referees would have raised their arms if one of his teammates had done the same thing.
“I don’t care if it’s the best player in the world,” Middleton said, according to Wild insider Michael Russo.
