The NFL has disclosed an upcoming change that all 32 of its teams will love, and it is believed that Taylor Swift is partly responsible.
While the official figure hasn’t been announced, the league has informed organizations of a projected salary cap range of $277.5 million to $281.5 million for 2025, per NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.
The figure is said to be more than what teams were expecting, as they were budgeting for a salary cap of $265 million to $275 million. And although the numbers haven’t been confirmed, teams will have a lot more financial leeway than they anticipated.

At the very least, they will see an increase of $22.1 million from the $225.4 million salary cap they had in 2024. At best, it will be a $26.1 million increase.
The new range means the cap will have increased by at least $100 million since 2018 – it was $177 million then – and more than $53 million in the last two years.

Of course, Taylor Swift has no say on NFL matters, as far as we know. However, the league has raked in considerable profit simply due to her involvement with Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to a report from MarketWatch, data from Apex Marketing, a company focused on advertising and branding services, shows that Taylor has earned the NFL over $1 billion in “total equivalent brand value” since 2023.
Swift’s influence has seen the NFL bring in a total of $1,001,057,453, per the report. Her relationship with Kelce is clearly very profitable for the league, which is now expected to increase its salary cap considerably.
Teams just might be looking to recruit novel celebrity WAGS in the wake of this recent announcement.
