Bond between Haliburton and Clark has blossomed over their love of basketball.

NBA star Tyrese Haliburton surprised fans during NBA Media Day by sharing a delightful secret about his close relationship with WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery.
The Indiana Pacers guard revealed that the three athletes, along with Haliburton’s girlfriend, Jade Jones, are part of a group chat where they regularly keep in touch, bonding over basketball and life.
The bond between Haliburton and Clark has blossomed over their shared love of basketball, and the Pacers star has been vocal about his admiration for Clark’s impressive skills on the court.
This friendship has even extended to their significant others, creating a unique group dynamic.
A Growing Friendship and Mutual Respect
Haliburton’s admiration for Clark was on full display on August 17, when he tweeted about her incredible pass during a game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, expressing his excitement for the WNBA star’s performance.
“Hope y’all seeing what 22 doin at Gainbridge,” he wrote, highlighting his fandom of Clark, who is known for her impeccable court vision.
Meanwhile, Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, who previously worked with the Pacers and is now an assistant coach at Butler, shares a similar basketball passion.
Although McCaffery and Clark began dating in 2023, Haliburton and his girlfriend, Jade, have been together since 2019.
Though Jade doesn’t play basketball, she has been an enthusiastic supporter of Haliburton throughout their time at Iowa State, where she was a cheerleader.
Haliburton and Clark’s mutual admiration extends beyond the court. Clark has praised Haliburton’s game, saying, “Tyrese is incredible. It’s nice to be in the same city now, and the thing I love about him is the way he passes the ball.”
