The three also joined with the Hawkeyes coach, Jan Jensen, for a practice session. Fans were excited to see Caitlin Clark run around in glee as Kylie Feuerbach made a great play.

After four years with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Caitlin Clark transitioned to the WNBA where she was picked No. 1 by the Indiana Fever. During her time with the Hawks, the guard enjoyed a historic run as she broke multiple records and finished her college career as the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer.

Clark was not alone on the journey as Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall remained her steady companions, guiding her through the good and bad times. The three formed one of the strongest back-courts in the last two seasons as they led the Hawkeyes to two consecutive Big Ten championships and NCAA finals.

The Iowa Hawkeyes also announced that they will be retiring Clark’s jersey #22 in honor of her time with the team.

“There’s been a lot of good 22s who have come before me and played for this program, whether it was Kathleen Doyle or Sam Logic,” Clark said. “That number holds a lot of weight, far beyond me. I’m really grateful, and it will be a special day when it happens.”

Martin joined Clark in the WNBA as she plays for the Las Vegas Aces while Marshall is back in school at the University of North Carolina where she is enrolled in a master’s program in occupational therapy.

Caitlin Clark receives massive rings from the Iowa Hawkeyes

To celebrate Iowa’s conference titles and two straight trips to the Final Four, the Hawkeyes presented Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall, and the other players of the 2023-24 Iowa roster with custom rings. The Big Ten championship ring features the engraving, “back to back to back” on the inside.

The team shared images from the ceremony on Instagram and wrote in the caption:

“Ring ‘em 💍”

The 2023-24 Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team was honored on the field during a timeout on Saturday. Clark and the team were joined by former coach Lisa Bluder who retired in May, giving way to Jan Jensen.

With the 2024-25 season a week away, the Iowa Hawkeyes are preparing to navigate their post-Caitlin Clark era.
