Cameras caught a hilarious reaction from Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark after drawing a foul against Connecticut Sun star DiJonai Carrington.
Caitlin Clark and the Fever visited the league-best Sun, who moved to 10-1 on the year after defeating Indiana 89-72 on Monday. And surprise, surprise, Clark and one of her opponents were involved in another moment that quickly went viral.
Clark was slightly nudged by Carrington after taking an inbound pass. The official quickly blew the whistle for a foul, causing a frustrated Carrington to taunt the rookie guard by pretending to flop:
Clark finished the night with 10 points, two assists and one steal. Carrington was far-and-away the best player on the court, finishing with a game-high 22 points, six rebounds, three assists and a trio of steals. Carrington shot an impressive 7-of-11 from the field.
The 26-year-old Carrington is in the midst of a breakout season, averaging 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest through 11 games with a personal-best 42.5 field goal percentage.
Connecticut will return to the court when they visit Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Wednesday evening (8:00 p.m. EST). Clark and the Fever have two more days off before they host the Atlanta Dream on Thursday evening (7:00 p.m. EST).

There was plenty of hype and excitement around Clark’s arrival in the WNBA, and the first overall pick of 2024 has not disappointed in the slightest.
Unfortunately, one of the top stories has been the alarming amount of physical contact against Clark during her rookie season. The controversy reared its ugly head 10 days ago, when Chennedy Carter delivered an unnecessary shoulder check on Clark after scoring a basket.
There have also been plenty of instances of officials failing to blow the whistle when Clark was clearly fouled. And so far, the WNBA clearly hasn’t done enough to address it.
