Collecting sports cards has been a popular hobby for a long time, and because of the rise of the WNBA and Cailtin Clark, women’s basketball has become an increasingly hot product.
Of course, sports cards can be a very lucrative hobby and even business, as cards can sometimes be worth thousands of dollars depending on the player and rarity.

Recently, a user that goes by Backyard Breaks pulled an extremely rare Select FOTL Gold Vinyl Autograph card numbered 1/1.
Recently, a card with the same rarity, also autographed, sold at an auction for $84,000, so it’s not crazy to think this one could be similar in value.
It’s something that the people pulling the card knew because as soon as they revealed it to the camera, one of them threw themselves into a trashcan placed behind.
It’s also worth noting that the two were suspicious that the card was Clark after peaking at the corners, and one even said, “I’m going in the trash can if it’s her. There’s no way.”
It’s safe to say that they were very true to their word, and it made for an extremely funny sight, even if some find it silly to make such a big deal for a sports card.
Caitlin Clark Thinks The WNBA Is On The Rise
“I feel like we are just scratching the surface on what the W and women’s basketball can be,” Clark said recently at a Nike event.
Of course, she’s not wrong. The WNBA set multiple new records for viewership.
More than 54 million unique viewers watched WNBA games across multiple platforms, shattering the previous record.
One reason for this sudden uptick in views could largely be attributed to Clark, as NCAA women’s basketball saw similar results when she was still in college.
