WATCH: Caitlin Clark makes history as first ever to be dressed by Prada for WNBA or NBA
There are several ways to leave your stamp on the history of a given sport, but what better time than now to do so on WNBA draft night? Caitlin Clark wasn’t just the first overall pick in the WNBA draft; she became the first player ever, from the WNBA or NBA, to be dressed by Prada for the draft night.
Caitlin Clark looked the picture of elegance in all white-ensemble. The 22-year-old projected No.1 pick, who’s currently one of the most influential players currently, put on a stylish display donning an angelic all-white Prada outfit as she dazzled in a white midi dress and black heels.
Clark completed the look with some stylish dark sunglasses and hoop earrings as she posed up a storm on the orange carpet.
Speaking to GQ Sport on the orange carpet, she said.
“Prada is like very me. I’m a very simple girl but Prada never dressed any WNBA playeror NBA player dressed, so, it’s fun.”
Caitlin Clark raves about reuniting Aliyah Boston
During Monday’s Orange Carpet interview, Caitlin Clark expressed her excitement about the possibility of playing alongside Aliyah Boston again. Of course, the two aren’t strangers to one another on the court. Clark and Iowa beat out Boston and South Carolina in the 2023 Final Four, and the two also have been teammates on Team USA.
Given all the buzz surrounding the possibilities, the question was naturally inevitable.
“The thing I love about Aliyah is like she just works so hard but she’s just a great person and obviously I’ve been her teammate before and I know what she can do,” Clark said
“As a post player, and for me, as a point guard, you always want to play with a really good post player. So that would be super exciting a really fun opportunity. The smile and the passion that she plays with like that effects the entire team. It would be special,” she continued.
While Caitlin wore an all-white outfit, Aliyah Boston, the Fever’s 2023 No. 1 pick, who was co-hosting the carpet with Hannah O’Flynn, was seen in a black suit. Her braids were dyed cotton candy pink.
The Indiana Fever selected Boston with No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 draft, and the former South Carolina standout went on to become the unanimous selection for WNBA Rookie of the Year.
Clark and Boston are expected to soon play on the same team, with Caitlin Clark anticipated to be drafted by the Indiana Fever. It would be fun to see the duo playing together in the WNBA.
