Caitlin Clark played another game in the WNBA on Monday night, so the chances of something controversial taking place were pretty high.

The Connecticut Sun beat Clark’s Indiana Fever for the third time this season, leaving them with a 3-10 record after a blowout 89-72 win.

Sun shooting guard DiJonai Carrington made herself this week’s version of Chennedy Carter, at least where some Clark fans are concerned, after mocking the former Iowa standout following a foul call that she did not agree with.

Carrington mimicked what she believed Clark was doing to the referee and was reportedly booed by the Sun’s home crowd.

Fans didn’t take kindly to the gesture online either.

“I’m beginning to understand why the WNBA has been largely unsuccessful,” one wrote. “And it has nothing to do with lack of support or resources. They don’t want to be profitable, at least not in the way they easily could.”

“She really didn’t flop though. Carrington is exaggerating and you know it,” another noted.

“Just another example of jealousy of Caitlin Clark,” said another.

“These girls are trash and have made me not to EVER want to turn on a single game,” a fourth commented.

Sun Players Were Still Taunting Caitlin Clark After The Game

Caitlin Clark was still taunted after the Fever loss on Monday night, with DiJonai Carrington and Sun teammate Ty Harris joking that it was “seatbelt season” for the rookie.

Carrington also took to social media to make light of the videos of herself mocking Caitlin during the game.

“Ayoooooo, I ammmm dramaaaa,” she wrote.

“strange, strange flex…..like beyond strange,” an X user replied.

Carrington led all scorers with 22 points on the night, adding six rebounds and three assists.
