Lynx Coach Cheryl Reeve Makes Strong Caitlin Clark Declaration.
Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve recently joined host Khristina Williams on the “In Case You Missed It” podcast.
Reeve, who has led the Lynx to a 27-9 record, which is good for the No. 2 seed in the WNBA, also had the opportunity to coach the Team USA women’s basketball roster.
She led the United States to a gold medal victory in the Paris Olympics and is now searching for her fifth WNBA championship as a head coach.
While Williams and Reeve thoroughly discussed the Lynx’s road to a title, they also chatted about the hype surrounding the WNBA, mainly delivered by Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.
Reeve praised the Fever, mentioning that Clark has already had a great impact on women’s basketball despite being 22 years old.
The veteran head coach even said Clark would be a future Hall of Famer.

“Future Hall of Famer and has had a great impact on the game already,” Reeve said.
The Fever rookie has helped change the landscape in Indiana. After having the No. 1 pick in back-to-back drafts, the Fever are now looking at their first playoff appearance since 2016.
They’re playing behind the elite scoring and playmaking of Clark. The first-year star has averaged 19.1 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game.
She’s not only the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year; Clark has played her way into MVP conversations and was named to the WNBA All-Star roster in 2024.
Reeve has been in the WNBA atmosphere for years. She’s a well-respected coach who’s won at the highest level and has consistently put her team in position to compete for a championship.
Throughout her career as the head coach of the Minnesota Lynx, Reeve has helped the organization win four WNBA titles. She’s also won Coach of the Year on three separate occasions and has been named the WNBA All-Star coach four times.
A legend in the WNBA community, calling a rookie in Caitlin Clark a future Hall of Famer, certainly carries heavy weight.
