Eagle-eyed viewers across the globe claimed to have spotted the wardrobe malfunction

Friday’s opening ceremony for this year’s Olympics in Paris has come under fire once more over its Last Supper parody performance.

As the ceremony edged past the three-hour mark, performers – including a bearded man painted head to toe in a light blue colour – took part in a musical number while parodying the famous Leonardo da Vinci painting.

The man was joined by several back-up dancers and drag queens who began to dance suggestively while the music played out.

The moment has been slammed and branded as an “attack on Christianity” by furious onlookers due to the significance the Last Supper holds to those who follow the Christian faith.

However, it’s not just the theme of the routine that has sparked uproar as eagle-eyed fans claim to have spotted one dancer showing an explicit part of their anatomy.

Situated to the left of the singer for viewers watching on-screen, a man with his torso on show and wearing a black jacket and glistening shorts appeared to have suffered a wardrobe mishap.

Many have claimed that the performer was – intentionally or unintentionally – standing with one of his testicles on show for billions to see at home.

Before long, social media was flooded with complaints from fans who felt the suggestive move, whether on purpose or not, was indicative of the “woke” and “over-sexualised” nature of the ceremony as a whole.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one person raged: “Balls.. you can see his balls hanging out.. on all central TVs from North Korea to Cuba…#OlympicGames brought to you by Macron. Paris is a disaster!”

A second added: “This is the #OlympicGames of 2024. A grown man with a testicle hanging out during the #OpeningCeremony. This is not ok.”

The complaints continued as a third hit out: “A man’s testicle hanging out from pants while mocking Jesus and his disciples Last Supper at the 2024 #Olympics opening ceremony in Paris. Disgusting.”

And a fourth echoed: “You had people with their testicle out on live TV. This was the worst #OpeningCeremony ever.”

Some people tried to see the funny side as a fifth weighed in: “Thanks to social media I’m now aware during the #OpeningCeremony one male performer suffered a wardrobe malfunction with a testicle hanging out ala Simon from The Inbetweeners. Dare I say was that a balls up?”

While a sixth simply fumed: “The Olympics are over 1,500 years old. I bet they didn’t celebrate sport, with kids dancing next to men pretending to be Women, simply to make an Ideological statement. The Olympics died tonight.”

However, some viewers provided a possible alternative explanation, including one person who suggested amid the backlash: “That is not his testicle.

“It seems his tight is torn around that area. Social media is fast becoming a fake news hub. #Paris2024 #paris2024olympics #Paris.”

Whether the wardrobe mishap was a deliberate act or not won’t matter to millions of viewers who were outraged by the Last Supper scene.

Even GB News’ Anne Diamond ripped apart Friday’s display, telling the People’s Channel’s viewers on Saturday morning: “The ceremony was an abomination, mocking Jesus. They really don’t know how to read a room. It was disgusting.”

Showbiz journalist Stephanie Takyi agreed: “To be honest, I don’t think they would have done that about Islam because they know that they would have gone to the streets and it would have been a wrap for the Olympics.

“They feel like for Christianity, because we’re quite subdued, let’s make a mockery of it. I just think some things are sacred, and maybe that could have just been left out of the show.”
