Atlanta Dream star Allisha Gray made headlines when she got two Indiana Fever fans ejected during Game 2 of their first round series on Tuesday night.
For those who missed it, cameras caught Allisha Gray arguing with Fever fans during Game 2 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The fans clearly agitated Gray, who didn’t bother to get back on defense as the play was going on.

Security quickly stepped in and ejected the two fans. And despite being without superstar Caitlin Clark and new team enforcer Sophie Cunningham, Indiana cruised to a 77-60 victory to force the win-or-go-home decisive game.

Reddit user razorecon111, apparently a witness to the incident involving Allisha Gray and the two fans, claims to have heard the conversation. According to the Reddit user, a fan simply told Lexie Hull that Gray wasn’t “even trying anymore.”
They also claim that arena officials only removed the fan to help Gray “calm down.” The full text and the screenshot of razorecon111’s comment can be seen below:
“He said to Lexi Hull as she ran to guard Gray “you’re good Lexi, she’s not even trying anymore”. What happened under the basket I couldn’t hear but that’s what started it. Gray needs to come out publicly and do the right thing and tell the truth. It wasn’t some random guy, it was a family, with a kid, who caught the stray and got escorted off. People asked what the staff said and they replied “we were told the removal was protocol to let the player calm down” This is the truth.”

Make of that as you will.
Allisha Gray & Atlanta Look To Keep Special Season Alive
The 30-year-old Gray just had the best statistical regular season of her career. Per ESPN, she averaged 18.4 points, 3.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds per contest, all personal bests. Gray earned her third straight All-Star selection and led Atlanta into the postseason as the No. 3 seed.
But Atlanta’s special season is suddenly on the ropes, with Indiana needing just one victory to spoil the best campaign of Gray’s career. The seventh-seeded Seattle Storm have pushed the Las Vegas Aces (No. 2 seed) to a winner-take-all Game 3, so there’s a good possibility that Atlanta would get a favorable round two matchup if they can hold off the underdog Fever.
Atlanta has never won the WNBA Championship and last reached the finals 12 years ago. We will soon find out if they can keep the special run going, or if it’ll end in another devastating playoff elimination.
